21/11/2011. I have just come back from a three week birding holiday in South Africa. I have now completed my Trip report. As always the written report is summarised and on the page at the top are links to pages of photos. There is also a page of recommendations.

Welcome to my site.

I am foremost a birder but on my travels I try and take as many images as I can. For a couple of years I digiscoped but in late Nov 2006 I purchased a new DSLR set up which was a Canon 30D + a Canon 100-400 IS USM lens coupled to a 1.4 Converter and since then I have concentrated on taking photos using that set up.

I changed this equipment to a Canon 50D plus a Sigma 150-500 Lens at the beginning of August 2010 so from that date onwards all my photos will be from this set up.

I will be continually adding new images, trip reports etc so keep an eye for any new additions.

I hope you enjoy your journey around this site and also hope you will leave some constructive critiscm in the comments section as you leave.
