Back to the Lesvos 2007 Trip Reports

As there are so many photos that I took of different species I thought it best to make a page just of photos then link it to the trip report. that way if you don't fancy reading 14 days of trip report then at least you can see the photos from it.

 

First of all the other three members of our group. Martin (Hummerman on BF)on the left, Keith in the Middle and his wife Diane (Digi-birder on BF)

The first images are of Bee-Eaters. All taken at the back of the salt pans.

Next is the Black Stork on the East River.

Next is a Black-eared Wheatear at the Ipsolui Monastery and Alpine Swift's at Skalla Erressos.

A couple of Black-headed Buntings.

Black-winged Stilt + Chicks plus a parent flying in.

Cinerous Bunting at the Ipsolui Monastery.

Male and female Citrine Wagtail at the East River Ford.

Common Tern at Petra plus Cretzschmars Bunting at the Bandstand.

A couple of Crested Lark.

Curlew Sandpiper on the East River plus a Kalloni II Goldfinch.

Great Spotted Cuckoo near the Silo's near the northern East river area.

Grey Heron near the Hide plus a House Martin that liked the Kalloni signs on the inside of the building on the 1st floor.

Hummingbird Hawkmoth. One of many in the Kalloni II grounds plus Kentish Plover by the salt Pans Hide.

Krupers Nuthatch near Achladeri plus female Little Crake at the Kalloni Inland lake.

Digiscoped Little Bittern near the East River Ford and also at dawn on the Kalloni Inland lake (DSLR).

Little Owl at Ipsolui Monastery.

Little Ringed Plover at the east river ford.

Little Stint also on the ford plus a couple fighting out on the river surrounding the salt pans.

Little Tern on the salt pan river and Long-legged Buzzard on a post just off the main road between the hide and the east river.

Pallid Harrier over the Sheep Fields plus a Western Rock Nuthatch in the Napi Valley.

Red-rumped Swallow near Petra.

Rose Coloured Starlings on a track between the East River Ford and the salt pans.

Ruff on the salt pan river plus Ruppells warbler at the site near Molyvos.

Temmink's stint on the East River ford plus Whiskered Tern over the salt pans.

White Stork on the east River.

Wood Sandpiper on the east river ford. The red you see isn't blood but a reflection of a nearby car.

Yellow-legged Gull at Sigri.
