Nov 24th

Today we were to camp at Lower Sabie. On the way we worked our way to Skukuza then Lake Panic before finally calling into a bird hide near to Lower Sabie. The day started very productively at the lake just outside of Berg En Dal. Some of the birds seen there were the following:

African Spoonbill & Common Sandpiper

White-fronted Plover &White-faced Duck

Diedrick Cuckoo & Blacksmith Plover

Wood Sandpiper

White-browed Scrub-Robin & African Fish Eagle

Brown Hooded Kingfisher & Dwarf Bittern

Tawny-flanked Prinia & Arrow-marked Babbler

Southern Ground Hornbill

Black-collared Barbet & Green Pigeon

The next two were at Lake Panic

Goliath Heron & Black Crake

The Crested Barbet was taken at the Lower Sabie Camp Site.
